The fact that we usually don’t see animals in our forests doesn't mean that they don’t live there. These tourists in Yellowstone National Park found out who is in charge there. ABC News report about a dangerous encounter.

Yellowstone National Park is a national park located primarily in the U.S. state of Wyoming, although it also extends into Montana and Idaho. It was established by the U.S. Congress and signed into law by President Ulysses S. Grant on March 1, 1872. Yellowstone, widely held to be the first national park in the world, is known for its wildlife and its many geothermal features, rich wildlife and picturesque landscapes.

The American black bear is a medium-sized bear native to North America. It is the continent's smallest and most widely distributed bear species. Black bears are omnivores with their diets varying greatly depending on season and location. They typically live in largely forested areas, but do leave forests in search of food. Sometimes they become attracted to human communities because of the immediate availability of food. The American black bear is the world's most common bear species.

Language

These bears do wake up with the warmer weather.

Do these bear wake up? – Yes, they do. – this is a typical way of using auxiliary verb to ask and answer questions. But what does this phrase mean: they do wake up. You can see that it’s not a question, so what is it?
It’s a way to emphasize information, make it appear more important. The speaker wants you to understand that these bears actually / really / definitely wake up with the warmer weather.
This way of adding emphasis can be used in Present Simple and Past Simple and only in positive sentences. In both tenses we need to put auxiliary verbs (do, does or did correspondently) before the verb.

Structure:
Subject + auxiliary verb + verb (bare infinitive)

Let’s say I want to emphasize the fact that I know the answer for your question:
•   I do know the answer.
Or I want to make sure everyone understands that my brother studies at Oxford.
•   He does study at Oxford.
Or you know that you left a book on the table but it’s not there anymore. To make sure everyone knows you left it, you say:
•   I did leave the book right here. I have no idea why it’s not there anymore.

Do these bear wake up? – Yes, they do. – це звичайний спосіб використання допоміжних дієслів для того щоб поставита запитання та відповісти на нього. А от що озгачає ця фраза: they do wake up. Ви ж бачите, що це не запитання. То що ж це?
Це спосіб наголосити інформацію, зробити її більш важливою. Той хто говорить хоче, щоб ви зрозуміли, що ці ведемді дійсно / справді / точно прокидаються, коли на вулиці теплішає. Такий спосіб наголосити інформацію можна використовувати у Present Simple та Past Simple лише у стверджувальних реченнях. У обох часах нам необхідно поставити допоміжне дієслово (do, does чи did відповідно) перед основним дієсловом.

Структура:
Підмет + допоміжне дієслово + дієслово (інфінітив без to)

Скажімо, я хочу підкреслити, що знаю відповідь на ваше запитання:
•   I do know the answer. (я дійсно знаю)
Чи я хочу впевнетися, що всі розуміють, що мій брат навчається у Оксфорді.
•   He does study at Oxford. (справді навчається)
