Introduction to the Green Forest Teaching Center by Nadiya Dyachuk
At Green Forest, we are committed to continually enhancing the educational experience and improving teachers` skills. To further this goal, we`ve established Teaching Center by Nadiya Dyachuk. This center offers unique professional development courses tailored to both, experienced educators and those embarking on their teaching careers.
Nadiya Dyachuk, the Head of the Academic Department at the Teaching Center, has shared her reflections on the inception and accomplishments of our Teaching Center.
The idea of the Teaching Center was a logical step in our commitment to staff development. The meticulous planning of organizational moments, coaches training, and the curriculum for training sessions were developed by the team of the Green Forest methodologists. The program is in a continuous state of enhancement and adaptation, with a growing team of coaches and an expanded range of practical assignments, all tailored to meet the demands and challenges of our times.
At present, the Teaching Center can organize three intakes annually, each accommodating 20-25 trainees, all without the need for extra promotional efforts. These are wonderful results. More importantly, every intake brings 5-10 new teachers who choose to join the Green Forest community, stay with us for a long time, do exceptionally well in teaching, and set a great example that boosts our center`s reputation.
Kateryna Tsymbaliuk is the person who manages the Teaching Center courses, works with teachers and is responsible for employment at the Green Forest language school.
Teaching Center by Nadiya Dyachuk was established in 2017 as offline classes for people who want to improve their teaching skills or are just beginning to teach.
We offer a comprehensive learning experience that combines theory and practice. In 2020, we realized the need to offer an online version of the course. We worked hard to make the online course just as interesting as the in-person one, especially for both, experienced teachers and beginners. Additionally, in-person classes allow us to quickly update the course when there are new teaching methods or ideas in the ESL field.
Now, individuals from all corners of Ukraine and even from abroad have the incredible opportunity to join us. Our community boasts graduates from Poland, Germany, Denmark, the Czech Republic, Turkey, France, Switzerland, and Austria.
Throughout our years of dedicated work, we`ve imparted knowledge to over 220 students, 70 of them now work as educators, both within our school and in various other projects under the Green Forest Family umbrella.
For me, Teaching Center by Nadiya Dyachuk is all about personal growth, becoming better at what you do, and seeing your dreams come true! Why do I share this? Because our typical student begins their journey at Green Forest to learn English at a primary level, we nurture their passion for the language, guiding them as they acquire fluency. Then, they realize that teaching English is what they are meant to do! They finish our Teaching Center course and become teachers themselves. We have many stories like this, and these stories motivate us to keep improving our course!

At the Teaching Center, we offer support and guidance to our teachers during and after the course, especially if they join the Green Forest school chain. Experienced teachers and advisors are there to help, especially for novice teachers, to address various work-related issues as they grow in their careers. This support includes personal consultations, progress assessments, and regular feedback.

Upon completing the course, you`ll receive a diploma from the Teaching Center which includes your final exam results.

The Teaching Center provides a comprehensive range of training programs covering various aspects of the teaching profession. These courses assist teachers in understanding the diverse aspects of the teaching process, mastering effective teaching methods and strategies, adapting to different students` profiles and proficiency levels, and fostering the growth of their own skills and competencies. Additionally, we offer opportunities to participate in specialized training sessions.
The Teaching Center offers resources designed to support educators in their work. For those who secure a teaching position following their completion of Teaching Center courses, receive the access to a library containing methodological textbooks, lesson plans, and other valuable teaching resources.
Furthermore, we have a separate section for teachers where they can learn how to utilize our interactive platform for creating engaging worksheets. There are over 15 different types of exercises available for classroom use.
Currently, Teaching Center courses are conducted online. We offer three course intakes each year, with a duration of four weeks per course. I started the course in the Teaching Center right after completing the highest level at Green Forest. Teaching was entirely foreign to me, given that my academic background is in a completely different field.
Prior to starting the course, I examined its structure, which included a practical component – to conduct real lessons, at that moment, it seemed like an unreal challenge for me. The learning process was undeniably intensive but remarkably engaging. Although there was a substantial amount of homework, it felt manageable due to the effective teaching methods employed during lectures and variability.
Upon completing the course, I received a diploma and was offered a position as a beginner-teacher. Ever since, I have been working at GF, and I can confidently affirm that all the skills I acquired at the Teaching Center are actively employed in my lessons. They form the essential foundation for every teacher.
