Sing and Learn: Zella Day, пісня Sacrifice

Привіт! Рада вітати вас у черговому випуску рубрики Sing and Learn. І тут у мене зразу назріло питання. До якої групи людей ви належите: ті, які дивляться класний фільм і потім тижнями слухають найкращі саундреки з них, чи до тих, хто почув класний саундрек, а вже потім лише через нього дивиться фільм? От я почула класну пісню і випадково дізналася, що це саундрек до фільму Інсургент. Фільм я досі не подивилася, а от з піснею пропоную розібратися.

Grammar:
В цій пісня є одна тема, яку студенти дуже не люблять, чи бояться. А я вважаю, що passive voice не такий вже страшний.

• I don't wanna be touched by the fear in your eyes
• I don't wanna be left for my demons to find

Формула дуже проста = be + V3/ed 
В нашому випадку маємо Passive infinitive (бо після wanna)

Звичайно, про модальні дієслова можна написати окрему статтю. Але давайте подивимося на одного з представників модальних дієслів в нашому тексті. 
Don’t have to – not necessary
Тобто це та дія, яку робити не потрібно (необов’язково), але якщо дуже хочеться, то можна!

Future Simple:

• Tell me you, will hold me in the golden afterlife
• I will find you in a burning sky
• Then there'll be nowhere to hide

Тут використовуємо will для promises and predictions.

Vocabulary:

• Afterlife (n) - the life, for example in heaven, that some people believe begins after death (Helen hopes that she will meet her grandparents in the afterlife)
• Ashes (plural n) - the powder that remains when a dead person's body has been burnt (They scattered the ashes of their school teacher over the ocean)
• Sacrifice (v) – to give up something that is valuable to you in order to help another person OR to kill an animal or a person and offer them to a god or gods. (Helen really wanted to have a baby so she sacrificed her career)
