• Slide (v) – to move smoothly over a surface, or to make something move smoothly over a surface (He likes sliding on the ice.)
• Slit (v) – to make a long, narrow cut in something (She wanted to commit suicide, so she decided to slit her wrists)  
• Think up (phrasal v) – to produce a new idea or plan (I don't want to go somewhere with that guy and I'm trying to think up an excuse.)
• Ashtray (n) – a small, open container used to put cigarette ash and finished cigarettes in (I’d rather you used an ashtray in my house)
• Thread (n) – a long, thin piece of cotton, wool, etc that is used for sewing (I can’t finish sewing. I don’t have enough thread)
