GRAMMAR
Конечно, работать в этой рубрике с рэпом – дело неблагодарное. Ведь можно было бы разделить одну песню на три главы. Поэтому я выбрала несколько грамматических примеров, которые пришлись мне по душе, и именно их проанализирую.
Be going to:
«Just gonna stand there and watch me burn?»
«Ты просто собираешься стоять там и смотреть, как я горю?»
О разных future forms я могу говорить часами. Думаю, не лишним будет напомнить вам, что конструкция be going to используется именно для того, чтобы говорить о будущих планах и намерениях. Не will, а be going to. Это важно.
Be about to:
«And right before I'm about to drown, she resuscitates me»
«И когда я уже практически утонул, она приводит меня в чувство»
Если речь зашла за будущие формы, предлагаю вам обратить внимание на пример из песни. Конструкция be about to указывает на то, что определенное действие должно вот-вот произойти. Например, если вам звонит друг, а вы как раз взяли телефон, чтобы ему позвонить, вы точно можете сказать "Hey, I was just about to call you!". Обратите внимание, что данная конструкция используется только для событий, которые должны произойти в ближайшем будущем.
Reported Speech:

Как показывает моя преподавательская практика, reported speech – это одна из тем, которых студенты не любят. Оно и не удивительно, ведь в нашем языке нет подобной головной боли (да, я знаю, что украинский намного сложнее английского). Во всяком случае, если вы хотите процитировать чьи-то слова в английском, вам нужно сделать так называемый step back. Посмотрите на пример из песни: мы не говорим "You swore you will never hit'em". Почему? Потому что will в reported speech превращается в would.
Если вы изучали это раньше, просто вспомните об этом. Если вы еще этого не учили, не пугайтесь, ваш преподаватель вам все объяснит :)
First Conditional:

Во-первых, надеюсь, вы помните, что условные предложения совсем не обязательно должны начинаться с if. Есть много других выражений и сочетаний. Во-вторых, не забудьте, что условные предложения первого типа необходимы нам для того, чтобы говорить о событиях, которые с большой вероятностью произойдут в будущем. В-третьих, имейте в виду, что в condition clause (тот, что после if and co), мы не используем will. У меня все.
