There are two ways to use phrases be prohibited, be allowed, be compulsory, be forbidden, be banned.
It is allowed to say what you want.
Saying what you want is allowed. -
Verbs make and let are followed by V in the active voice. If make is used in passive, it is followed by to V. Let cannot be used in passive voice
They don't let me do anything.
They made me listen to everything. But | was made to write everything down. -
Be supposed to is used to say that something is expected of a speaker, but it doesn't mean that the speaker will do it.
You are supposed to be here! Where are you?
I am not supposed to eat chocolate but I can't stop. -
Manage to is used to talk about things that require a lot of efforts to complete. Be able to is used to talk about either general or specific situations, it can be used in all possible tenses and after modals and other verbs.
It was hard but | managed to climb Mount Fuji.
I wasn't able to reach you yesterday. (specific situation)
I've been able to swim since I was a kid. (general ability)
