All children are nice and good-looking. But Polly was a very beautiful girl. Much more good-looking than other five year old girls in our town.  All ordinary-looking girls were short, a little bit fat and had medium length hair. They were ugly comparing to Polly, the prettiest girl with long wavy hair and big blue eyes.
One sunny day Polly was walking along the street and suddenly saw a young pretty woman. She was very tall and extremely thin. Obviously she was a model. And Polly really wanted to look the same way when she grows up. She decided to ask the model how to look good and always be slim.

-    My dear Polly, - said the beautiful lady, - now you are five and you have a young face, beautiful fair skin and you are very slim. But time goes so fast and in a few years you will have an ugly ponytail, old face and you will be overweight.

-    Overweight?

-    Yes, honey, overweight. It is the worst thing which can happen to you. Handsome boys will not like you anymore.

-    What should I do? – asked Polly in tears.

-    I can give you my magic cigarettes. Every time you smoke one it makes you thinner and more beautiful. But be aware, you can become thinner and thinner and disappear at all!

As a rule, if a person is beautiful or good-looking, he or she has many enemies.  So Polly was not an exception.  One girl with dark skin and very dark short hair hated Polly a lot. She always did everything to offend or to hurt Polly. She spoiled Polly’s dresses, pushed her and made fun of her. But she dreamt about big revenge. Mila (that was the name of the girl) heard the conversation between Polly and the tall slim lady. So she decided to steal Polly’s magic cigarettes. “I don’t want to be fat or overweight, - thought Mila. “I want to have those cigarettes and to be very pretty”. And so she did. Little girl stole the cigarettes and started smoking them. Mila smoked cigarettes one by one because she wanted to become more beautiful than Polly. But she didn’t notice terrible changes. She was becoming thinner and thinner and then disappeared at all.

Polly lost her cigarettes and her biggest enemy.
