Among all my toys I love my globe the most. My mother always buys me dolls, teddy bears and bicycles. But I don’t need them. All I need is my magic globe.

It was a hot summer evening and my mother was at work. My globe offered me to go travel around the world together. I agreed and we started discussing where to go first.

-    First let’s go to the 51st street.  It’s not so far and we can go on foot, - said the globe.

So we left home and went to the 51st street. Then we reached the nearest bus stop and tried to take a taxi. Cars were passing by but nobody stopped. Maybe they didn’t want to deal with a little girl, and maybe they didn’t like the globe.

-    We can take a bus, or we can travel by trolleybus, - said Polly.

-    No, - said the globe, - to go around the world we need something very fast. We need a plane!

-    But we will not find a plane in the center of the city! We have to go to the airport anyway.

-    Look at this traffic jam! It won’t be easy to get to the airport. – replied the globe.

-    We will go by subway, - said Polly and walked to the metro station.

When we got to the airport and found the plane there, we decided to get into baggage compartment to stay there all trip. We didn’t know where the plane was going. It was a great surprise for us when we saw Brazil at the end of our trip.

-    I like Brazil! I like monkeys and football. Can we stay here and live? – asked Polly.

-    No. I don’t like Brazil, - said the globe sadly.

-    Why so?

-    They think I’m a ball and as soon as they see me they start playing football and hit me. I hate it. These stupid Brazilian boys annoy me.

-    Ok, don’t worry. We can go somewhere else. What country do you want to visit next?

The next country was South Africa. We rented a motorcycle and went to the port as we wanted to reach South Africa by sea. One man proposed us to take ferry or motorboat or scooter.  But we didn’t have any money. And canoe was too slow. There was a passenger ship in the port. So we went on board secretly and left for South Africa.

After that my magic globe said: “I think China is the most interesting and exotic country.” And we went to China.  The tram fare was high so we decided hitch-hiking is a good idea. A man in a big truck picked us up and drove to China. There were no traffic lights on the route so the trip was nice and not long.
We had a great time in China and it was time to go back home.

-    Maybe we should go home by yacht, - said the globe.

-    Are you crazy? We can’t sail and we don’t have a yacht, - said Polly and woke up.

Polly was sitting on the window sill and sleeping. She was hugging the globe with one hand and holding a tram ticket in another one.
